Abingdon, Maryland
Abingdon was named after Abingdon, England and was founded by William Paca.  Paca was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and the third governor of Maryland.  Cokesbury College was founded in Abingdon and was the first Methodist College in the United States.

Abingdon continues to be a very affordable town to find a home.  Condos, townhomes and single family homes are all available in the area.  Abingdon is also very close to I-95, as well as various shopping areas.  The top employers in the area include Upper Chesapeake Medical Center as well as Aberdeen Proving Ground.  If you desire a quaint, serene location for your home, consider Abingdon.  It is one of Harford County's best kept secrets.
